Presentation Slides (group work) Packaging Design Analysis Purpose and Function of Packaging Current Trend in Packaging Design Introductions EXERCISES: DIELINE EXERCISE – 10% (Submission Week 4) Construct box design die-line. Choose a product as reference for the box design. Product size should not exceed 200mm of height. Analyze the product dimension and sketch the idea of the box die-line. You will cut the die-line using *laser cut machine to construct the box. Bring along a product and your choice of MATERIAL (paper, cardboard, acrylic, etc.) for the exercise. The merchandises should reflect the brand. You have to design a complete set of packaging for the merchandises and think how it should be able to be displayed on the shelves.  Project Requirements  Finished packaging should be physically made and its function demonstrable using either the real objects it is to hold, or a mockup of your making.  You will document the project’s progress, including photographs and early progress, on your design journal.  Remember that craft counts! Do a research on two of their competitor. Analyze on the market segment (specific target audience) and describe the USP for the particular board game. You are required to redesign the box. You may propose a new structure for the box design but must consider purpose of packaging when you decide to change the structure.
